
Job Description
Rogers Free Library seeks to fill one temporary Public Library Tutor position. This position will provide academic support to students in grades 7-12 of various educational levels, specifically in science and math, and will work under the direct supervision of the Rogers Free Library’s Learn 365 Grant Coordinator.
The position is needed for 3 days after school: 1.5 hours each day, with a minimum of 4.5 hours per week. The starting pay rate is $35.00 per hour. This position is contracted to start as soon as practicable through August 31, 2025.
Tasks of position include:
● Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions.
● Assist students with homework, test preparation, and study skills.
● Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
● Maintain a welcoming and supportive learning environment.
● Track student progress and provide regular updates.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor of Education or related field preferred.
● Minimum of 2 years of tutoring experience.
● Strong knowledge in core subjects (specifically Math, Science).
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to work with diverse age groups and learning abilities.
● Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
